Hi all! I have missed my daily vlogs!
After a really rough few days of being sick, plus a few more days of quarantine, I am thrilled to say I will rejoin my team on Tuesday–– tomorrow! It honestly took a lot of talking with my family and thinking about why I joined the team to decide to go back after being sick and alone for a week, but I am confident that this is what is best for me!

My family and friends checked up on me constantly over the last week, and even though it was pretty lonely, it was very moving to see how much support I have. I'm very lucky.
The plan for the team is to finish out a ten-day full team quarantine on Thursday, then bus all together to where we would've ended up had we been biking, in Berea, Kentucky. We plan to continue normally from there, but at my doctor's recommendation, I'll be taking it easy and only biking as much as feels good until my lungs are back to normal. I also now have an inhaler to help me with the breathlessness from Covid.

Some highlights from my week in solitude and the few days when my isolation was over:
- Strawberry gelato and Italian coffee from Pronto
- The cat (Colonel) who lived at the hotel
- Daily phone calls with mom, dad, and Nani and Buckie
- Reading the entirety of "Joy Luck Club" in three days (and watching the movie over Zoom with my love)
- Visiting Stonewall Jackson's house and seeing his original furniture
- Thin mint ice cream from Sweet Things
- Weirdly, my first ever trip to the laundromat
- Starting "The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane"
- Finding beautiful places to read outside

A huge special thank you to Nani and Buckie, Jack, Ashley, Jenna, Mia, Debbi, Jonathan, Anita, Ginny, Audrey, Mere, Mieke, Michelle, Eliza, Ali, Zoe, Caroline, Madison, and my incredible parents for having my back this past week. You guys rock.

Livvy Ray, I am so incredibly proud of you. YOU rock, and we all know it! ❤️
Goodness Livvy!! I’m so happy to hear that you are feeling better and will be rejoining the team. I feel that’s a great decision on your part. It is hard recovering from Covid (your uncle jimmy still uses an inhaler and has a cough) altho it is getting better it’s only been since Christmas. Like your mom said stay hydrated drink as much liquid as possible. You will continue to learn more and more about yourself as your trip continues. Being away from loved ones is hard especially as close as our family is. I remember just going to church camp In The summer and oh my goodness I was so lonely for my mom and there were no phones t…
Good luck today, Livvy! I’ll be thinking of you as you rejoin your team and hope y’all have a fantastic time at the Bike & Build Olympics! My advice (you knew I’d have some): stay super hydrated, eat lots of fruits and veggies, and have fun! You’re back to your grand adventure and we are so proud of you. XOX
