Today was a resounding success compared to yesterday, and just in general! I made it through 60 miles, and my body felt a hundred times better than it did yesterday.

Tomorrow is only 66 miles, so I may even be able to finish the ride! I've struggled heartily with finishing with everyone for the entire trip, so if I feel well enough, that would be pretty cool.
At our lunch stop today, we found four tiny kittens and their mama! I didn't pet them because they were scared and I didn't know if they had fleas, but I got some very cute pictures!

After my ride, some friends and I took the van to a local ice cream shop, where I got a second lunch of chicken fingers and waffle fries and a cookie dough cone. Cookie dough is Jonathan's favorite flavor, so I got it because I miss him so much! It was quite good.

Tonight we're staying at the Grayson County Fairgrounds in Leitchfield, which are honestly a little bit haunted-looking. They are only in use for a few weeks of every year, so it seems almost abandoned, even though it technically isn't.
We did have showers today though, which felt fantastic. My hair is so clean. Oh, the miracles of modern technology.
We have two options for sleeping arrangements tonight–– a bathroom floor or under the stars. The tents take too long to set up and take down for a night that is this beautiful. I'm going to sleep under the stars for the first time ever.
Also a highlight, I ate cereal for dinner. It was delicious.
Tomorrow we're waking up at 5:30, which is 6:30 EST, so I am thrilled. I also realized nothing is stopping me from getting in bed right now, so I'm going to set up and get rested!
“A resounding success!” What wonderful words to hear from you, Livvy! Rest easy under the stars tonight, Sweetheart, and know that we are all thinking about you with love. ❤️
I’m so proud that you made your goal, i have a hard time keeping the bike on it’s two wheels!! In Flordia with Nani, Buckie, uncle Jimmy and your mom. I was watched after stopping and just falling over. I did get better as the days went on. Your amazing Livvy. Those kittens are so cute. I love them when they are little. Sleeping under the stars ⭐️ is wonderful you get to see the universe in a different light. In Maui it always felt and looked like we were right there with the stars, you could reach out and touch them. I’m soooo excited to see hear about todays adventure. Your so lucky, you all see…
So glad you’re feeling better and enjoying this experience, Liv! XX
Really excited for tomorrow’s blog to find out what sleeping under the stars was like. Not sure I’ve ever done that on purpose!
