August 8, 2022 in Stevenson, Washingston
Today is our last day in Washington, which means tomorrow is our final state line crossing of the entire trip. It is unbelievable to me that we have been in all 11 of our 11 states.
Beyond that update, today was pretty uneventful.
About half the riders, myself included, did a 33-mile ride today after our incredibly tough day yesterday. And boy was it hilly!
My favorite part about today was turning a corner and seeing Mount Hood in the distance, and watching the landscape change from dry and brown to the Pacific northwest I expected from Twin Peaks! I'm so excited to be able to explore more over the next few days.
After the ride, I took a nap, a shower, and luckily got an incredible host dinner complete with tons of dessert, including ice cream cake!!
Now, only 3 hours later, I'm having a protein bar, because no matter how much I eat, I'm always hungry on Bike and Build.
Tomorrow, we're going to Portland and it is my last ever truck day. I plan to use any extra time getting those three days worth of blogs up.
This has been an incredible journey, you livvy have brought your trip alive and presented it to us. Love it all so much. Can not believe that you have done so many biking miles. Pictures are beautiful and true to the story. Your mom and dad will be there soon. So glad for you.. I’m really going to miss reading your blog and feeling close to you and your adventures.
